WHAT IS YIM?
‘‘Youth in Music (YIM) is a platform for young musicians, singers, and songwriters to express themselves on stage in front of a live audience. A lot of youths practice and play music in their rooms and behind closed doors. YIM aims to provide a supportive environment for these youths to allow them to experience that gig buzz and to deal with the feeling of performing in front of a watching and listening audience. Hopefully, this allows them to grow in confidence, feel a sense of accomplishment and get a taste for what it is like to perform live.’’
